Geotextiles play a vital part in the performance and longevity of the riding surface in equestrian arenas (manèges). The geotextile to be used beneath the riding surface acts a separator, but more essentially must prevent small particles, such as silica sand, from being lost into the aggregate layer below, and allow free drainage to avoid the arena becoming waterlogged.
For this purpose we offer Fiberforce - a polypropylene, stable fibre, needle-punched non-woven geotextile, resistant to UV degradation and to biological and chemical environments normally found in soils.
Fiberforce Extra is recommended for intensively used equestrian arenas. Robust performance enables it to cope with the extra demands of riding schools and competition arenas.
Roll size 4.5m x 100m
Thickness 1.74mm (under 2kPa)
At subsoil level we recommend using Rhyno woven geotextile.
